About Zaphia AI

Most AI search advice is written for people with a marketing department

This is for the rest of us. Zaphia AI exists to make the way AI decides who to recommend understandable, affordable, and actually doable for a small business owner who is already doing six other jobs.

The problem I kept running into

I run a small business. I also do the behind-the-scenes work for another one. So I know exactly what happens when you sit down at eleven at night to figure out why nobody is finding you.

You search for help and you get one of three things. Enterprise software priced per seat, written for a marketing team you do not have. Agencies quoting monthly retainers that cost more than your rent. Or free advice so vague and contradictory that you close the tab feeling worse than when you opened it.

Almost none of it tells you where to start. That is the part that always got me. There is plenty of information. There is very little clarity. A small business owner does not need forty tactics, they need to know which three things matter this week and which forty can wait.

Then the rules changed again

While all of that was already true, the way people find businesses shifted underneath everyone. Customers stopped scrolling a page of links and started asking an AI assistant a question, then choosing from the two or three names it gives back.

That change hit small businesses hardest, and quietly. You do not get a notification saying you have been left out of the answer. You just get fewer calls, and no explanation. Meanwhile the advice about it got worse, not better: a fresh wave of jargon, acronyms, and people selling certainty about systems nobody fully documents.

What I decided to build

The goal is simple: make this knowledge genuinely accessible to small businesses. Not simplified into uselessness, and not dressed up to sound impressive. Explained properly, in plain language, by someone who respects that you have limited time and no patience for theater.

That is why the guides on this site are free and thorough rather than gated and thin. It is why the kits cost less than an hour of an agency’s time. And it is why every page tells you what to do first, instead of handing you a list and wishing you luck.

What I believe

Plain English is not dumbing down

Jargon is often a way of hiding that the advice underneath is thin. If something cannot be explained clearly to a busy owner, it usually is not understood well by the person explaining it.

Tell people where to start

Everything here is ordered by what actually moves the needle. Reviews and your business profile before schema. Being readable before being clever. A short list you finish beats a long list you abandon.

Be honest about what is not known

Nobody outside these companies knows exactly how AI engines choose. When the evidence is strong, we say so and cite it. When it comes from one study or one vendor, we say that too. You deserve to know how confident to be.

No guarantees, ever

We will never promise you a ranking or a citation, because nobody can honestly deliver that. What we can do is make sure your business is clear, readable, and trustworthy enough to be chosen.

Affordable on purpose

The businesses who most need this help are the ones least able to pay agency prices. Pricing this out of reach would defeat the entire point.

Who this is for

Service businesses where trust matters and the owner is closely involved: med spas and clinics, salons and studios, dental and medical practices, coaches and consultants, photographers, and local service professionals. If you sell expertise rather than products on a shelf, and you would rather understand something than outsource it blindly, you are in the right place.

How we hold ourselves to it

This site is built to the same standard the kits describe. Answer-first writing, clean structure, fast pages, sources cited, no hype. If we could not get ourselves found by AI, we would have no business teaching anyone else how to do it.

If something here is unclear, wrong, or out of date, tell me. That is genuinely useful and I would rather fix it than leave it sitting there looking confident.

Start where it makes sense

Not sure where to begin?

Read the guide to how AI search actually works. It is free, it takes about twelve minutes, and it will tell you which three things to fix first.
